This doesn't feel like something I'd draw in the current day/year, because it kind of isn't, but I drew it anyway, there is a story behind this. Back when I was a child, I don't remember the exact year/age, I drew a picture of Bubbles, Boomer and Brat, I used pastel crayons, it looked like this, I mailed it to the Cartoon Network magazine series address (that was ongoing at the time, and I still have those magazines), hoping they would showcase the drawing in an upcoming issue (yeah, they did that with some drawings by others). That never happened. Essentially all I did was throwing away a nice drawing I made. I was a disappointed, regretful and sad little boy. I drew this both to recreate one of my lost artworks and to showcase the drawing by my own terms, in spite of what happened.
That happened over a decade ago, but yeah, I still remember a lot of details of the drawing, I tried to make it close to the original but also made some details better. I'm sad about losing some drawings, even comics, I made when I was a kid, I got back one of them by drawing this. Drawing on paper sucks for me tbh, I quit traditional art in like 2018, digital art is so much easier to find and preserve, unlike traditional art, and I just prefer doing many things digitally in general.
Bubbles from the Powerpuff Girls, Boomer from the Rowdyruff Boys, Brat from the Powerpunk Girls. I know these characters aren't friends, I liked the idea of them being friends when I was a kid. If it looks like there are sizing errors in the drawing, no there aren't, those are just perspective stuff. The background, or even the pic in general, may look kind of odd, but that's partly because this is a recreation of a similar pic. I don't know if it shows, but my heart wasn't fully in it when drawing this, I still tried to make it look good though. Being in a PPG Discord server encouraged me to make more PPG fanart (people didn't encourage me, I just got the feeling by myself after seeing people posting their PPG fanart happily and safely), I wasn't expecting to make and post more than 1 PPG fanart this year lol.
